Honors Dr. Ralph Franklin Helzerman Jr. (December 10, 1942 – October 5, 2024), an ophthalmologist who practiced in Hillsboro, Oregon for 37 years at the Hillsboro Eye Clinic until his retirement in 2010

Recognizes his military service as a medical officer in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and his medical training at the University of Michigan and OHSU's Casey Eye Institute

Acknowledges his philanthropy in the Hillsboro community, including helping fund the Walters Cultural Arts Center, Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, Noble Woods Park, and Hidden Creek Park West playground

Notes his 30+ years singing with the Oregon Chorale and service on boards including the Hillsboro Community Foundation, and his receipt of the 2016 Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce Philanthropic Leadership Award

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Dr. Helzerman's surviving family as an expression of sympathy and condolences
