Commemorates the 100th anniversary of Multnomah Falls Lodge, completed in 1925 in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

The lodge was designed by architect Albert E. Doyle and constructed by the Shattuck Company for $40,000 (approximately $700,000 in 2025 dollars) in the Cascadian style using local timber and stone

Land was originally donated to the City of Portland by Simon Benson and the Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company; ownership transferred to the U.S. Forest Service in 1939

The lodge and surrounding footpaths were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981
