Oregon Legislative Assembly expresses condolences for Brian Edward Flowers, a 15-year veteran of the Gresham Fire Department who died from occupational leukemia on November 19, 2023, at age 48

Flowers is survived by his wife Elsie and three children: Carina, Darian, and Anthony; his son Darian joined the Gresham Fire Department in September 2023, two months before his father's death

A memorial celebration was held on December 17, 2024, which would have been Flowers' 50th birthday, drawing a standing-room-only crowd of family, friends, and fellow firefighters

The resolution recognizes Flowers' dedication, bravery, and community service, and directs that a copy be presented to his family
