Oregon Legislative Assembly honors Dr. Phillip David Creighton (June 18, 1945 – September 16, 2024), who served as president of Eastern Oregon University (1999-2003) and Pacific University (2003-2009)

During his tenure at Pacific University, he oversaw construction of six new buildings and a 2008 athletic complex, and transformed a $3 million deficit into a surplus

Established the Pacific University Hillsboro Campus in 2006, with the original building dedicated as Creighton Hall in 2009 in his honor

A copy of the resolution will be presented to Dr. Creighton's family as an expression of sympathy and condolences
