Oregon's 83rd Legislative Assembly urges Congress to pass the Crime Victims Fund Stabilization Act of 2024, which would redirect False Claims Act collections into the Crime Victims Fund through fiscal year 2029

The Crime Victims Fund (CVF), created by the Victims of Crime Act of 1984, experienced a 90% balance decline from fiscal year 2017 to 2024, dropping to $1.2 billion

The CVF supports child advocacy centers, domestic violence agencies, and rape crisis centers nationwide, and is funded by federal criminal prosecution fines and settlements rather than taxpayer dollars
