Creates new crime of "aggravated felon in possession of a firearm" when a convicted felon possesses three or more firearms, or commits felon-in-possession while having prior convictions under the same statute

Aggravated felon in possession classified as a Class B felony, punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, $250,000 fine, or both

Oregon Criminal Justice Commission directed to classify the offense as crime category 7 on sentencing guidelines grid

Enhanced classification to crime category 8 applies when offender possesses six or more firearms, or has three or more prior felon-in-possession convictions

Amends existing ORS 166.270, which retains standard felon in possession of a firearm as a Class C felony
