Attending physicians may provide ibogaine to patients aged 18+ for treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorder, or substance use disorder when the physician judges the patient may benefit

Patients must be capable of making and communicating health care decisions, either directly or through individuals familiar with their communication methods

Ibogaine consumption must occur in a controlled setting with a health care provider experienced in managing cardiac complications available on-site

Ibogaine obtained, provided, and consumed under these provisions is exempted from Oregon's definition of "controlled substance"

Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Medical Board may adopt implementing rules; physicians who comply with the law are protected from board discipline; the operative date is January 1, 2027
