Nonsmoking policy changes cannot take effect for fixed-term tenancies until the lease term ends

Landlords must provide at least one designated smoking area on the premises when implementing a nonsmoking policy

Rental agreements must disclose whether smoking is prohibited, allowed on entire premises, or allowed in limited areas, with specific locations identified if restricted

Applies to both new and existing rental agreements entered before or after the effective date
