Increases the maximum personal income tax credit for political contributions from $100 to $2,000 on joint returns and from $50 to $1,000 on all other returns

Eligible contributions include those made to major or minor political parties, candidates for federal, state, or local office, and registered political committees

Income eligibility limits remain unchanged at $150,000 federal adjusted gross income for joint filers and $75,000 for other filers

Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2026, and before January 1, 2028 (two-year window)

Takes effect on the 91st day following adjournment of the 2026 regular legislative session
