Expands the definition of "police officer" under the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) to include juvenile custody services specialists and juvenile court counselors who perform duties under ORS 419A.012 and 419A.016

Reclassifies forensic scientists and evidence technicians employed by county sheriffs, municipal police departments, and university police departments as police officers for PERS purposes (previously only Department of State Police employees in these roles qualified)

Adds fingerprint technicians employed by the Department of State Police, county sheriffs, municipal police departments, or university police departments as police officers under PERS

Includes certified medicolegal death investigators employed by county sheriffs, municipal police departments, county health departments, or university police departments as police officers for retirement purposes

Classifies Oregon Military Department force protection officers and leaders who patrol and protect Air National Guard installations as police officers under PERS, with benefits applying only to service performed on or after the Act's effective date
