Manufactured-protein food products (plant-based, insect-based, or lab-grown/cultivated) using meat-related terms on labels must include qualifying terms like "plant-based," "lab-grown," "vegan," or "imitation" in close proximity to the meat term

Fabricated-egg food products (made from plant or other organic material instead of eggs) using egg-related terms must similarly display qualifying terms disclosing the product is not made from eggs

Products failing to include required qualifying disclosures are classified as "misbranded" under Oregon food law

Amends ORS 616.205 to add definitions for cultivated-protein, insect-protein, plant-protein, and fabricated-egg food products, as well as identifying and qualifying terms for meat and egg products

Applies to food products sold or offered for sale on or after the effective date of the 2026 Act
