Government agencies and school entities must subtract 2% from bids or proposals that involve American-made supplies, services, or construction when evaluating competitive sealed bids

"American-made" is defined as supplies, services, or construction where at least 75% of the costs for materials, equipment, products, or processes are derived from the United States

Applies to all school districts, public and private schools, charter schools, cyber charter schools, intermediate units, area career and technical schools, and State-related institutions

Agencies must require documentation from bidders to confirm eligibility for the 2% preference

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
