School nurses shall complete Department of Health-approved seizure management training beginning in the 2025-2026 school year and every two years thereafter, changing from optional ("may") to mandatory ("shall") and from annual to biennial requirements

All professional school employees with direct student contact shall complete Department of Health-approved seizure awareness training, including seizure recognition and first aid instruction

Training for school nurses must cover seizure recognition, seizure action plans, and related first aid; training for other staff covers seizure awareness and recognition

School entities and employees receive civil liability protection under existing Good Samaritan and emergency care immunity statutes when providing seizure treatment consistent with school policy

The act takes effect 60 days after enactment
