Authorizes public school entities (school districts, intermediate units, career and technical schools, charter schools, and cyber charter schools) to employ or approve certified school chaplains as volunteers to provide support, services, and programs for students and employees

Requires chaplains to be certified by the National School Chaplain Association or similar organization, but exempts them from state teacher certification requirements under Article XI

Mandates chaplains satisfy existing background check requirements for employees or volunteers having contact with children under Pennsylvania law

Requires governing boards of public school entities to vote within six months of the act's effective date on whether to adopt a policy authorizing school chaplains

Takes effect immediately upon enactment; formally titled the "Student and Teacher Support Act"
