School entities must maintain room temperatures between 68°F and 79°F in all occupied areas to the greatest extent possible

Students and staff must be relocated within 2 hours from any area with temperatures below 63°F or above 89°F

Temperature-related relocations must be reported to the Department of Environmental Protection within 24 hours

DEP must inspect any school facility that requires more than 4 temperature-related relocations in a school year to verify compliance with indoor air quality standards

Applies to school districts, charter schools, regional charter schools, intermediate units, and area career and technical schools, taking effect 60 days after enactment
