Department of Education must develop a foreign language toolkit and curriculum guidelines for all public school students beginning with the 2026-2027 school year

School districts are required to create foreign language curriculum for grades kindergarten through twelve using the state-developed toolkit and guidelines

Districts may select the foreign language that most relates to the demographics of their community for curriculum development

Amends the Public School Code of 1949 by adding Section 1529 on foreign language instruction

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
