Coverage must include all FDA-approved drugs, devices, and combination products for menopause treatment, as well as behavioral therapy to help cope with symptoms

Specifically covers therapy for menopause induced by hysterectomy

Covered symptoms include hot flashes, irregular periods, vaginal/bladder changes, decreased fertility, bone density loss, elevated LDL cholesterol, and sleep disturbances

Department of Human Services must seek a State plan amendment or federal waiver from CMS if needed; coverage takes effect 30 days after federal approval is published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin
