Creates an annual sales tax holiday running from 12:01 a.m. on the first Friday in August through midnight the following Sunday (a 3-day weekend period)

Exempts clothing accessories (hats, scarves, hosiery, handbags), footwear, and school supplies (pens, pencils, paper, binders, notebooks, books, bookbags, lunchboxes, calculators) from state sales tax during the exclusion period

Exempts computers, printers, printer supplies, and computer software from sales tax during the holiday weekend

Exempts bedding and bath items (wash cloths, blankets, bed spreads, linens, comforters, towels, shower curtains, bath rugs, pillows) from sales tax during the period

Applies only to nonbusiness purchases, with orders placed and paid during the exclusion period qualifying even if delivery occurs later; takes effect 60 days after enactment
