Officers in law enforcement agencies must complete mandatory in-service firearms training conducted by a certified instructor at least four times per year, including virtual or physical simulation trainings for live action situations

The commission shall make simulation training available to law enforcement agencies at least twice per year, subject to facility availability

Certified firearms instructors and agency chief officers must maintain records of all training completed, including rounds fired, scores, and firearms used, with documentation submitted to the commission's system within 30 days of each calendar year end

Officers who fail to complete required training shall be placed on administrative leave until training is completed

The act takes effect immediately and applies to police officers employed by municipal law enforcement agencies with general police powers
