Department of Education must develop a continuing professional education program on human trafficking awareness and prevention beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, in consultation with the Attorney General's Office, PA Commission on Crime and Delinquency's Office of Victims' Services, and a human trafficking organization.

Program must cover federal and state trafficking laws, the PA State Police Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-292-1919), trafficking statistics, methods traffickers use including social media recruitment, risk factors for victims, and how to identify and respond to potential victims.

Program must be at least one hour in duration and may be delivered online or through other electronic means.

Professional educators required to complete continuing education under section 1205.2 must complete this human trafficking training and will receive credit toward their continuing education requirements.

Act takes effect 60 days after enactment.
