Pennsylvania Department of Health must develop and maintain a voluntary firefighter cancer registry to collect occupational history and link it to existing Commonwealth cancer registry data

Registry will track firefighter demographics, paid/volunteer status, years of service, types of fire incidents attended, smoking/drug history, and medical information

Department must consult experts in cancer registries, cancer incidence, diagnosis/treatment, and firefighting when developing the registry

De-identified registry data must be made publicly available and provided free to researchers; annual reports on cancer trends and risk reduction recommendations required beginning one year after enactment

Individual identifying information remains confidential and protected; registry data cannot be used in civil/criminal proceedings or as basis for disciplinary action against participating firefighters
