Physicians must conduct an in-person physical examination before providing medication abortion and cannot use telehealth or virtual technology for this purpose

The first abortion medication must be administered at a hospital or ambulatory surgical treatment center with the physician physically present

A mandatory follow-up visit must be scheduled within 7 days of the first medication dose to assess the patient's condition

Physicians must provide patients with a catch kit and biohazard-labeled medical waste bag for fetal remains collection, with instructions to return materials for proper disposal and any required pathological examination

Requirements do not apply to treatment of ectopic pregnancies or miscarriages; the act takes effect 60 days after enactment
