Second class townships in Pennsylvania would no longer be required to use shadow vehicles (vehicles that follow mowing equipment) during mowing operations along township roads, regardless of PennDOT policies or other laws

Applies to mowing conducted by township employees or contractors

Townships retain the option to voluntarily use shadow vehicles if the board of supervisors determines it necessary

Amends The Second Class Township Code (Act of May 1, 1933) by adding Section 2302.1

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
