School districts must determine whether any school bus or vehicle stop is located within 300 feet of the residence of a registered sex offender convicted under 42 Pa.C.S. § 9799.14

Parents or guardians must be notified if their child's assigned bus stop is within 300 feet of a sex offender's residence, with the notice explaining the proximity and providing a way to request an alternate stop

Parents have 30 days from receiving notice to request an alternate bus stop location for their child

School boards must grant alternate stop requests within 30 days and establish a new stop at least 300 feet from the sex offender's residence

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
