Requires each school entity to place an automated external defibrillator (AED) in every occupied school building, with at least 4 trained employees within 1,000 feet during school hours and at least 2 trained personnel within 200 yards at athletic activities.

Mandates annual AED training for specific school personnel including nurses, principals, physical education teachers, head coaches, school resource officers, and athletic directors through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent approved programs.

Requires electrocardiogram (EKG) testing for students participating in interscholastic athletics beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, with follow-up cardiologist examination required if EKG results are abnormal; parents may opt out for religious reasons with a written liability release.

Makes CPR instruction mandatory for all students in grades 9 and 11 starting in the 2026-2027 school year, with successful completion required for high school graduation beginning in the 2027-2028 school year.

Takes effect 60 days after enactment and amends the Public School Code of 1949 to change terminology from "automatic" to "automated" external defibrillators throughout existing provisions.
