Increases the limit on wages, salary, or employee benefits that employers may pay directly to a deceased employee's family members from $10,000 to $20,000, without requiring appointment of a personal representative

Raises the threshold for direct payment from bank deposit accounts to licensed funeral homes or cemeteries for burial expenses from $10,000 to $20,000, and allows remaining account balances up to $20,000 to be paid to family members

Increases the patient's care account payment limit from $10,000 to $20,000 for burial expenses and family distributions when a deceased was a medical assistance recipient

Establishes priority order for family payments: spouse, then children, then parents, then siblings

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
