Establishes the Mascot Grant Fund within the State Treasury with $1,000,000 annually from the Department of Education's appropriation to help schools and public higher education institutions voluntarily discontinue American Indian mascots

Provides one-time grants of up to $20,000 per eligible institution beginning in the 2026-2027 school year for schools that voluntarily retire Native American-themed names, symbols, logos, or team names

Grant funds may cover costs including new logos and branding, sports uniforms and equipment, facility renovations, and removal of mascot imagery from flooring, windows, engravings, and buildings

Eligible institutions include school districts, charter schools, private schools, intermediate units, career and technical schools, State System universities, community colleges, and state-related universities

Applications prioritize capital construction projects, and multiple schools may apply jointly to replace similar mascots or jointly procure replacement items
