Increases the maximum automation fee that clerk of courts offices may charge from $5 to $10 for initiating any action or legal proceeding in counties of the second class A and third through eighth class

Automation fees collected must be deposited into a special clerk of courts automation fund in each county, used solely for automation and technology updates

Adds new provision allowing the automation fee to be increased no more than once every three years, with increases capped at the percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U) over the preceding three years

Applies to home rule counties of the same classification

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
