Employers of convicted commercial drivers must also pay fines of $1,000 for an employee's first offense and $5,000 for subsequent offenses, unless the driver is self-employed

Lifetime disqualification from driving commercial motor vehicles or school vehicles applies after a third or subsequent traffic-control device violation by a CDL holder

Standard fine for non-commercial traffic-control device violations remains $150 with no additional court costs or surcharges

Fines collected are distributed with $25 going to existing accounts and the remainder deposited into the Public Transportation Trust Fund; effective 60 days after enactment
