Defines shared appreciation agreements as transactions where an individual receives money in exchange for granting an interest in their dwelling or agreeing to future payments based on the property's value, equity, or proceeds

Payment obligations under shared appreciation agreements can be triggered by transfer of ownership, a repayment maturity date, death of the individual, or other specified events

Excludes home secured loans guaranteed, insured, or offered by government agencies or government-sponsored enterprises from the shared appreciation agreement definition

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
