PA HB2136

Prohibits the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections from removing or refusing to recognize medical diagnoses made by licensed health care practitioners prior to an individual's incarceration

Allows removal of a pre-incarceration diagnosis only if the original diagnosing practitioner or an independent medical expert (not employed by or affiliated with the department) provides a written recommendation for removal

Amends Title 61 (Prisons and Parole) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes by adding Section 3304.1

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
