Current or former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) employees applying for Pennsylvania law enforcement positions must complete a special disclosure form listing all current and former direct supervisors from their immigration enforcement work.

Applicants must disclose whether they were subject to deadly force investigations or were disciplined, discharged, or separated from employment due to such allegations.

The Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission must conduct employment history reviews and make fitness determinations for these applicants.

If the commission deems an applicant unfit, a law enforcement agency may still hire them only after providing public notice explaining the rationale for the hiring decision.

Applicants who provide false information or fail to disclose required information face denial of employment, termination, and potential criminal prosecution; the act takes effect in 60 days.
