Local school board members are prohibited from serving on charter school boards of trustees within their district, with an exception for appointed representatives

Individuals cannot serve as voting members of a charter school board if they or a family member receives compensation from, is employed by, or serves on the local school board that reviews, approves, or renews that charter

Charter school boards must include one member appointed by the local school board of directors; regional charter schools must have an appointee from each chartering school district

Amends Section 1716-A of the Public School Code of 1949 regarding charter school board of trustees powers

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
