Eligible security measures include reinforced doors and locks, window locks, shatter-resistant glass, security cameras, alarm systems, motion-detection lighting, and personal alarm devices

Applicants must provide documentation of domestic violence status, such as a protection from abuse order, police report, criminal complaint, or certification from a domestic violence service provider

Commission may prioritize applications based on risk factors including recent separation from an abuser, abuser's release from incarceration, severity of prior violence, protection order violations, and presence of children in the household

Personally identifiable information of applicants is confidential and exempt from public disclosure; act takes effect in 60 days
