Child-care centers must install and maintain video camera surveillance systems meeting specifications established by the Department of Human Services

Applies to facilities providing care for 7 or more children (under age 16) who are not relatives of the provider

Department of Human Services must promulgate regulations setting specifications for surveillance systems and standards for their use

Department may conduct inspections of child-care centers to investigate compliance

Applies only to child-care centers that commence operations after the effective date, with the act taking effect in 60 days
