Exempts one-family and two-family dwellings used as community homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism from heightened automatic fire sprinkler requirements under the International Building Code (2018 edition) for Group R-3 and R-4 occupancies

Adds definitions for "autism" (as defined by DSM-5), "intellectual disability," "community home for individuals with an intellectual disability or autism," and "relative" to the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act

Defines community homes as buildings providing residential care to one or more individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism, excluding private family homes, state-operated facilities, intermediate care facilities, foster homes, summer camps, and homes serving 3 or fewer adults requiring 30 hours or less weekly staff contact

Amends the act of November 10, 1999 (P.L.491, No.45), known as the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
