Grant amounts range from $10,000 minimum to $200,000 maximum per recipient per fiscal year, with matching requirements of 33% for grants $25,001-$75,000 and 50% for grants $75,001-$200,000

Transfers $5,000,000 from the Department of Health's general government operations appropriation to the newly created Protecting Hospital Workers from Workplace Violence Grant Fund for fiscal year 2025-2026

Department must establish application process within 90 days, review applications within 90 days of receipt, and prioritize projects demonstrating innovative approaches with evidence of institutional commitment and long-term sustainability plans

Program expires July 1, 2035, with grant recipients required to submit annual reports on activities funded, changes in violence severity/frequency, and performance metrics
