Each Pennsylvania school district must hire at least one full-time, highly qualified transition coordinator for every senior high school, with the Department of Education authorized to require additional coordinators based on school population

Transition coordinators must perform full-time duties focused on individualizing community-based activities with an emphasis on employment, in accordance with the Employment First Act of 2018

Coordinator responsibilities include skill development, creating individualized plans, and building relationships with external entities for student placement, instruction, job placement, transportation coordination, and progress monitoring

The Department of Education is responsible for ensuring school district compliance with these requirements

The act takes effect 60 days after enactment
