Allows individuals on parole to petition the sentencing court for early termination of their remaining sentence if they are at least 40 years old and have completed at least 5 consecutive years of parole supervision

Either the Department of Corrections or the individual under supervision may file the petition with the sentencing court

Courts must consider multiple factors when deciding petitions, including risk to community safety, institutional and parole conduct records, original sentence length, financial/personal hardship to the individual, and efficient use of department resources

Petitions must be served on the individual, Department of Corrections, prosecuting attorney, and any crime victims entitled to notification under the Crime Victims Act, with all parties given opportunity to be heard

Applies retroactively to any parole supervision or sentence imposed before, on, or after the effective date, which is 60 days after enactment
