Health benefits continue uninterrupted during any line-of-duty death investigation; determinations may be made by the employing police department, PA Department of General Services, or federal Bureau of Justice Assistance

All health benefits under this section terminate when the recipient reaches age 65; collective bargaining agreements providing equal or greater benefits take precedence

Applies retroactively to surviving spouses of officers who died in the line of duty before the law's effective date; takes effect 60 days after enactment
