Parents or legal guardians may opt their school-age children out of wearing face coverings or masks mandated by the Secretary of Health, local health departments, or school boards

Schools must develop and post an opt-out form on their public website that cannot require parents to provide a reason for opting out

Children who are opted out cannot be subject to harassment or discriminatory treatment, including being relegated to certain locations, isolated during activities, or excluded from school events

Amends the Public School Code of 1949 by adding Section 1419.1 and takes effect immediately upon enactment
