More than 16,800 public transit employees work throughout the Commonwealth to ensure safe, clean, and reliable transit operations regardless of weather conditions

Acknowledges that transit workers face increasingly dangerous incidents including gun violence, assault, and other disruptions that put them at risk

Encourages all riders and residents to thank public transit workers and raises awareness about the need for investment in public transportation infrastructure
