Designates May 9, 2025, as "Fire Police Day" in Pennsylvania to honor volunteer fire police officers

Fire police officers are dedicated volunteers who have served Pennsylvania communities since the late 1800s and must take an oath of office administered by a judge or justice

Primary duties include traffic regulation, establishing detour routes, securing helicopter landing zones, protecting emergency responders and victims, and ensuring safe entry/exit of emergency vehicles

Fire police officers are authorized to enforce federal and state laws, make arrests, assist fire marshals with arson investigations, control crowds, and support local law enforcement at events

Officers must be certified in fire police operations by the Commonwealth or their county of service
