Young Involved Philadelphia (YIP) was founded in 2000 by college graduates, held its first open meeting in 2001, and incorporated as a charitable organization in 2003

YIP currently has more than 7,000 members and primarily serves young people ages 22 to 35 in Philadelphia

The organization promotes civic engagement through education, advocacy, volunteer opportunities, and social events while fostering relationships with local leadership
