Housing authorities are prohibited from renting or leasing dwelling accommodations to non-U.S. citizens or any person present in Pennsylvania or the United States in violation of federal immigration law (8 U.S.C. Ch. 12)

Veteran preferences for housing authority programs are expanded to apply to all programs offered by the authority for which the veteran qualifies, not just specific programs

Housing authorities may only rent to low-income persons at affordable rates, with tenant income capped at six times the annual rental of the unit

The act takes effect immediately upon enactment
