Signs must include safety features such as enhanced turn signals and brake lights connected to vehicle operation indicators, and must comply with all applicable federal laws and regulations

Signs must be capable of real-time communication with the public using geofenced and GPS-enabled technology for information, advertising, public service announcements, and emergency alerts

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation must issue guidelines within 180 days of the effective date establishing criteria and approval process for sign size and placement

Public transportation vehicles include buses, motor vehicles, shuttle vehicles, light rail, and trains operated by local transportation organizations, but exclude school buses and charter/sightseeing vehicles
