Increases the tax on motor vehicle leases from 3% to 5% of the total lease price charged

Raises the daily rental car fee from $2.00 to $6.50 per day or part of a day

Increases the carsharing/peer-to-peer rental fee for rentals of 6 hours or more from $2.00 to $6.50 (shorter rental intervals remain unchanged at $0.25 to $1.25)

Revenue from these fees is deposited into the Public Transportation Assistance Fund in the State Treasury

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
