School entities must annually provide parents and guardians of students in grades 6-12 with educational information about eating disorders via email, first class mail, or the school's website

The Department of Education and Department of Health must establish an Eating Disorders Task Force to develop guidelines, with input from organizations including the National Alliance for Eating Disorders, PA Association of School Nurses, and the American Academy of Pediatrics

The Task Force must meet at least twice per school year—once before the school year begins and once at the start of the calendar year—to reassess information provided to schools and parents

Required guidelines include developing letters for school personnel (principals, counselors, psychologists) on eating disorder prevention and letters to parents covering warning signs, risk factors, and resources

Applies to school districts, charter schools, cyber charter schools, career and technical schools, intermediate units, and nonpublic schools; takes effect in 60 days
