Initial training must cover Alzheimer's disease and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and dementia-related behaviors and communication

Training credentials are portable between employers within Pennsylvania, allowing workers to carry their certification when changing jobs

Training providers must submit proposed curricula to the Department of Health for review and validation, and workers must pass an evaluation to complete initial training

Department of Health must promulgate implementing regulations within one year; act takes effect in 60 days
