Establishes a mandatory minimum sentence of at least 11 months imprisonment for persons convicted of illegally possessing, using, manufacturing, controlling, selling, or transferring firearms under 18 Pa.C.S. § 6105

Imposes a mandatory minimum of at least 5 years for repeat offenders with a prior § 6105 conviction, and at least 15 years for those with two or more prior § 6105 convictions from separate criminal actions

Sets the maximum sentence at twice the mandatory minimum and prohibits parole until the minimum term is served

Requires enhancing elements (factors increasing the sentence beyond the base offense) to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt and submitted to the fact-finder for deliberation

Takes effect 60 days after enactment
